This usmc marine combat 2 tent is a three season tent made by Trek.
It is a copy of the NSN#8340-01-452-5919 specifications with improvement's to make it better.
The main body of the tent is coyote tan with two door's one front one in back.
It also feature's a waterproof floor and no-see-um screen on both door's too.
This also aids in reducing the build up of the internal concentration of condensation.
The ventilation provided is great for hot, dry and humid conditions.
The marine tent system is designed to work in temperatures from 0° to 120°F and
withstand constant winds of 40 mph and gust's up to 55 mph.
The fly system is great because you can switch it from od green to coyote tan to match the terrain.
It cover's the whole tent front and back and add's an additional 20 square feet of covered storage.
You can also use the waterproof fly as a free standing light shelter or sun shade with the special part's included.
The whole system is built to protect you from crawling and flying insects in hostile environments.
For high winds the fly has tie down point's for staking the tent down.
The waterproof fly offer's protection from blowing sand, snow and driving rain too!
Light security is no question with the rain fly installed and they can not see movement inside either.
Instruction sheet's are sewn in to the top of the main storage bag and the rain fly storage bag.
One for each type of set up one for the tent and rainfly together and one just for using the rain fly as a light shelter.
The combat tent come compleat with everything you need except for the hammer. In other words you do not need any special tools for set up.
The inner tent is made of coyote tan breathable 70 denier ripstop nylon and is fire resistant.
It has two side pocket's for storage inside and a place for hanging your electric lantern at the top.
The marine combat inner tent measure's 49 inches high by 5 feet wide by 8 feet long.
The reversible rain fly is made of 70 denier ripstop nylon that is coated with polyurethane for even better protection from wind driven rain!
There are three shock corded poles made of 7075-T6 alumnium. The tent system come compleat with 13 alumnium stakes,
tie down ropes and three storage bags with pull closures. Also the adapter parts for the rain fly to be used as a light shelter too!
All this and it only weighs in at 8 1/2 pounds. With this light of weigth I would use a light tarp on the bottom to protect it from sharp objects!
With the storage bag system the tent can be divided so you can share the load with your buddy!!
Without losing anything except for about half the weight. Your buddy is carrying it. This is one fantastic tent system!!
